I read this- its interesting. I vehemently disagree with several of the writers solutions--- specifically #4& 6 and #5. Nowhere in Gods Word are we ever instructed to intentionally make ourselves aware of lies. I liken this advice to Eve engaging the Serpent in the garden. I would never engage or entertain what I know is a lie... thats a slippery slope with devastating and dangerous consequences. We are instructed in Ephesians 6 to put on the the FULL armor of God- mentioned first is the belt of TRUTH! #5 I would take a step further... what has God said about this wisdom of men??? 1 Cor. 1:18-25 esp. vs. 20 &25 where is the one who is wise where is the scribe where is the debater of this age has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?...for the foolishness of God is wiser than men and the weakness of God is stronger than men. Also, 1 Cor. 3:19-20 for the wisdom of this world is folly with God for it is written He catches the wise in their craftiness and again the Lord knows the thoughts of the wise that they are futile... or my personal favorite jeremiah 9:23-24 thus says the Lord let not the wise man boast in his wisdom let not the mighty man boast in his might let not the rich man boast in his riches but let him who boasts boast in this that he understands and knows me that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love justice and righteousness in the earth for in these things I delight declares the Lord... what our children need is to know the LORD and that His Word is TRUTH and that everything they think, feel, see, hear... must always be held up next to it... and if there are discepencies, cling to TRUTH and put away all else no matter the cost.
