I read this article and strongly disagree with it! You can not break down crime in to gender or race. People do not end up on death row because they are black (vs white) or male (vs female)....you end up on death row because a jury of your peers has judged you guilty of a heinous crime. Everyone on death row is sucking the life $ out of the American tax payer (who struggles to keep a roof over their families head and food on their tables) What would enact terror and maybe take a bite out of crime is...if they treated death row convicts like...say...convicts and then carried out the sentencing process. Death! That would send a clear message! And as far as over populated prisons...let out the non violent (crimes) and make them wear an ankle bracelet...and make them pay to do so. I will agree that it must be terrifying to have your execution date set and then count the days down...only to be granted a stay(add more tax payers $) and start the count down again....and again. Inhumane you ask?? You need to ask their victim....
