I realize Im a day early for Throw Back Thursday...but this just couldnt wait! It was 15 years ago today (Sept.10-1999), that All You Need Is Love played its debut show! It was a fundraiser for our local woman and childrens shelter, that stretched over two consecutive evenings at a local high school auditorium. No matter how big Belleville may grow we have always enjoyed and continue to enjoy a small town comradery. So many people helped out...a couple of names at the top of the list...Wayne McFaul (sound production from day one), Tim Hunt (poster and program design) and Kim Taylor (those amazing backdrops, that we still use to this very day!)...and of course our incredible local media support. Speaking of which...Ive included some newspaper clippings of the event (by our friends Frank OConnor-photos and Tom Gavey-writer) Sadly Tom would pass away almost three years to this date. Miss you Tommy. The original line up from left to right, in the promotional photo attached was: Vitas Slapkauskas, Tim Campbell, Andy Forgie, Steve Smith, Mark Rashotte & Francis Rose. Our special guest vocalists were: Al Haring, Susan Walsh, Ken Harnden & Susan Richardson. We never thought we would be playing this show the following year, let alone 15 years later! Happy 15th Anniversary Lads! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!!! P.S. We raised $9,000. over those two shows, and have since raised over $200,000. for various charities over these past 15 years! Oops...my memory is not what it should always be...These first two shows could not have been done without our lighting director Phil Bowerman and my son Ben...who was here, there and everywhere!
