I realize Im preaching to the choir here but heres a part of some creativity teaching Im putting together. Id love your feed back on it Steps in the Creative Journey 1. Imagine -Part of the function of the eye in the body of Christ and even in the natural is the ability to see the possiblity. In order to bring in a new thing we need to wipe the dust off of our imaginations and envision life beyound the moment we are currently in -Its the ability to dream again and create goals to shoot towards. In order to pursue things unseen they must become seen, first within our imagination and spirits. We awaken our God given curiousity and things become fresh and new as we dare to explore beyound the realm of the here and now, beyound the earth realm and into the realm of the spirit 2. Expression -Freedom within self expression allows us to better communicate the ideas, dreams and creative thoughts that keep us exploring for more.Being unhindered by past wounds or fear of others opinions allows us to fully discover what is truly in our hearts to express. -By developing ourselvcs in the craft and the giftings which the Lord has given us our attained skills become powerful tools by which we can manifest the unseen into the seen 3. Realize Potential & Hidden gifts -Through the process of expression and development often comes the realization of gifts one never knew they had or were unaware of the potential of these talents. Often creativity also stirs up the giftings in those around us, therefore it is an avenue to discover the wealth within ourselves and others -In the parable of the talents the master gave each servant a share of talents.. He was pleased with those who used them but displeased by the one who buried his talent. God gave you a talent for a purpose!! Use it for his glory and dont hide it -During this process our Potential is then more fully realized and our purpose becomes more clear as what is in our spirit to do is explored expressed and developed 4. Communicate -The arts in all forms are simply methods of communication. However the more diverse the communication the more potential hearts it will capture with its message. -Just as an example,a sound is just a sound until it is crafted into music. Music as powerful as it is is made even more powerful alongside of images, images are stagent until graced by movement and movement is interpeted by speech and all of that communication comes together to produce communication that speaks multiple ways to multiple people 5. Common vision=Community -Just like Nehemiah and the rebuilding of the city walls, the dream has now grown to the point where the idea has become “common” A group of people with a common vision can then easily create community. -Where there is community there is the beginning of unity and the working out of the things that ties all the people together. It is community with purpose and destiny 6. Commission -Every major idea not acted upon is a death to that idea. Some ideas will never been realized or manifested simply because they were not pursed to this level of building the vessel/framework to hold it. -Creativity requires action, it is also a form of discipline. It takes dedication, passion and perseverance for something of quality and unseen to become seen. Often times fustration is creativitys worst enemy..however that same fustration will make us better if we allow it to motivate us rather than hold us back -The idea in motion, in reality the unseen now seen. Like creating the ark as the Lord required it be made then once it was created in obedience become a place for the Lord to dwell here on earth as it is in heaven 7. Heaven meets Earth
