I realize that as a Jets fan, my opinions about deflategate - TopicsExpress

I realize that as a Jets fan, my opinions about deflategate probably cant be taken seriously, but Ill share them anyway: 1. I dont think Belichik knew or cared. I know hes a micromanager and all that, but I just dont see it. He trusts Brady to handle the football, just like he said. I believe him. Maybe I believe him because it makes sense and therefore I shouldnt, but I do. I dont think he lied today. 2. I think Brady knew he handled an altered, deflated football. Frankly, I think there is zero chance he didnt know. That is his job - he handles footballs for a living. He knew. He lied today. I dont know the depth or extent of his lie, but he lied. 3. The balls were deliberately deflated. No explanation needed. Obvious. 3. I have no idea exactly how the football was altered, but imagine it is an extremely easy and simple thing to do, both in terms of planning it and executing it. 4. I think it is totally believable that the refs didnt detect it. Why? The refs are under enormous stress and place huge concentration on watching the game and moving smoothly between plays. They touch the ball between plays and place it down - it was cold. They dont squeeze or handle the ball like a player does. Leave the refs out of it. 5. The ball deflation had zero impact on the outcome of this game. Pats crushed the Colts. 6. If deflated balls were used against the Ravens, I cannot say the same thing about it having a impact on the outcome of the game but there is no evidence to prove it either way. However, since Im sharing my opinion, I believe the Pats did use deflated balls against the Ravens. No explanation needed, Obvious. 7. What should the NFL do? Take responsibility for allowing illegal balls to make their way into important games. Learn the lesson. Control the balls in the future. Move on. 8. Go Seahawks!
