I really applaud Shortland Street on their episode tonight and for being brave enough to speak out to a wide audience about such a serious issue in NZ. This episode really touched me on a personal level. I struggled for a long time after the birth of my daughter with severe post-natal depression. I hit the bottom of bottoms with it and without the love and support of family and a few close friends I wouldnt be sitting here writing this post today! So please if you yourself are feeling down or if you know anyone in that situation dont be afraid to reach out for help and remember just keep breathing :) Laura xx
