I really should be excited for this historic snow storm. I really should. But the blizzard warnings and the daunting forecast makes me realize that weather always has an effect on people. Thats why its so challenging and important to forecast correctly and in a timely manner. My grandfather is turning 86 tomorrow and if the storm stays as is, he will be stuck having to deal with 20+ inches of snow and blizzard conditions. Extreme weather like this proportionally effects the elderly much more than others. So if your grandparents live up in the northeast or mid atlantic regions that will be effected by the storm. Dont forget to call them and check in make sure everything is alright. Bet they would enjoy the call as well!
