I really try to keep up with the messages here at Facebook. I - TopicsExpress

I really try to keep up with the messages here at Facebook. I cannot answer them all and for that I apologize to all of you that send them and apparently wait for my wisdom to fix issues that you have. I am joking, I am not that bright and sometimes have trouble deciding what I want for lunch or whether to try to beat all the traffic by turning right on Railroad Street on my to work each day. I usually call it wrong. Much of my Facebook insight is typed from my Android phone. Yes, it is a problem. Many of the spelling errors you see are because my fingers and my mind are only connected sporadically and even then, I actually do have some dyslexia (true story). I have masked it fairly well throughout my career but from time to time it slips by my checking and rechecking. I am sorry for that. I point out the Android Phone because I cannot get any of our Facebook messages through my phone and only can get them when I sign in with a computer. That is not possible as I travel around the state much of the time when I am off and several of my regular haunts have NO Internet service except when I stand (just right) on big rock that I have near my most regular hangout. I write this tonight to point out again, that I can not check our Facebook messages constantly. I try to get back to many but we get more and more messages and sometimes they are about issues that really have no place on Facebook. If you have a crime question or want to report an issue. You really should call the dispatchers at our police department. Some questions come in from outside of Bangors jurisdiction as well. Call your local police department or sheriffs office if you need to speak to an officer and it has to do with serious criminal matter. I was away for a few days out of state. While there I did post a few things but only when I get an epiphany. I am not at my desk or even near the police department. I am not scolding anyone. I really appreciate the trust you put in us and hope that we do the right thing by each and every one of you. If its a police matter, CALL the police please. This is not a dispatch ready Facebook page. I worry that someone will leave a message about something serious and I will not get the message and harm might come to someone because they believed that the Facebook page was the right place to make contact with law enforcement. The last item on my list of things tonight are the Duck of Justice Tee shirt questions. The hold up in the shirts was initially the artwork and other technical issues. Our next hurdle will be selling shirts and having the time to make shipments. I still am a police officer and much of the Facebook work takes place outside the realm of my regularly scheduled job. The reaction to the shirts is positive but I have to figure out how we can get them shipped to our friends without this turning into a full time task. The chief of police is working on a fix for this and I will advise when we are ready to sell. We are not a retail outlet so this is something entirely new for us. Thanks for understanding and thanks for following our page. We will be here.
