I really want Hershel to make it through this whole zombie apocalypse thing, but a huge part of me doesnt think he will. His character traits are the traits of someone who is to be admired and emulated. Hes the one who had been to the brink and come back, the advocate for humanity in an inhuman world. That person helps to create a new world so that it will exist for others, not because they ever think that they will live there themselves.
