I really was challenged and touched by Chris Lamberts message at OPC today -- What it means to be like Jesus/LifeRemodeleds vision: 1) be on the GO 2) go to people in NEED 3) lead with ACTION and follow with WORDS 4) SEND others out as well Luke 10:17-24 -not all believed -but they could all see/witness the kingdom of God at work -rejoice that your names are written in Heaven rather than just getting excited about the work *never get more excited about the work than the responsibility we have to share Jesus with others The Bible is all about 2 words: -Covenant (relationship): Father gives us an Identity which then makes us want to Obey Him ...doing it backwards is religion not relationship -Kingdom (responsibility): King gives us Authority and enables us with Power Identities are received from our Creator; they are not achieved. God doesnt just work through us -- He works in us (all the while). ------------------------------------------------- Ready to change the world? Ready to change a neighborhood!
