I really wish the kennel club would only register pups whose parents are health tested. Everyday I hear of prospective puppy buyers who fall into the trap of thinking they have a great addition on the way as they are KC registered and know nothing about health. I realise kc reg only means pedigree but I wish there was more publicity around health issues. People should be encouraged to search adverts on sites that check health tests and be informed of the breed average for hips etc. it pains me to think I invest a lot of time, effort and money into the promotion of good breeding and yet people encourage bad breeding, yet think they are doing the right thing but purchasing at kc reg pup. Honestly, my heart sinks everytime... And to find out they charge the same price, if not more for a pup whose parents arent health checked really angers me. Didnt want to bring cost into the equation but at the end of the day, if its quality you want then you would think thats what you get for a certain price. Rant over.. But if the kc care about the health of dogs then they should consider this being a criteria within registration of litters
