I received the missing wood treatment (water based-inocuous liquid, about as toxic as saline solution) by carrier from the supplier down south who had made 2 attempts to send it by Royal Mail First Class and it had not arrived. I read the article in the Stornoway Gazette via FB which mentioned the missing many Western Isles parcels being sent to Belfast for reasons of security and told the supplier who eventually found that my harmless stuff had been destroyed by Royal Mail as suspicious. My supplier is very peeved, like myself, as he sends this very useful green treatment all over UK and it is hes never been destroyed as suspicious anywhere else. I will write to the MP who is investigating this strange activity...what on earth is going on here that needs such draconian attention? So I missed the dry weather to treat the one small bit of our new house which isnt cedar and which I need to paint as it took the best part of a month to get my delivery. Anyone else waiting for a parcel?
