I recently had an opportunity to shoot the awesome Lindsay again, and decided to recreate an image I made with her over 4 years ago, mainly to see how I progressed. the original image was a promo piece I did for my comic Conflict. ( mikeroshuk/conflict/ ) I like the side by side comparison image from the one from 2010. Even though my lighting set-up has barely changed (the new image I think is simply just a better shot), I think I improved with working on the skin and hair - actually painting portions of it rather than just retouching. As for illustrating the armor, Im at least not as sloppy as I used to be. I was more impatient back then, which strangely enough, this new one took even less time lol. Now I try to pay a bit more attention to the detail. I took more care with sketching it out this time, did the color flats in illustrator, then brought them back into photoshop to paint.
