I recently heard on the radio a national news report which stated that working Americans have less than $500 saved. I was somewhat taken back by this statistic because I figured if you are EMPLOYED that saving part of your income was the norm. If today is PAYDAY for you here is a good word of encouragement: When you cash/deposit your PAYCHECK DO THIS: 1. Tithe/Honor The Lord (10%) 2. Save/Pay Yourself (10%) 3. Spend/Pay your bills (80%). This prescription in this specific order works. If you are EMPLOYED yet ALWAYS BROKE then the above strategy is probably out of order. SAVE your money and one day your money will SAVE you.
