I recently read a title named Living is a moving Image of eternity. A Platonic concept if ever I heard one. In a nutshell . . . Living now is a moving image of eternity seems like a idea that is very much like the notion of symmetry. It is an imagined change that produces no change. Just as there is an invariant amidst variation in a symmetry so also in time. Rotate a circle as many degrees as you please and though you have changed the circle you have in a deeper and more fundamental way left the circle unchanged. Clearly time is not fundamental but derivative. Time is change within the unchanging, variation within an invariant. Physics attempts to codify this in formulas but it is really beyond physics and a part of meta-physics. Now chew on that thought for a while.
