I recently received a couple of really nice comments on some photos, and I wanted to pass the gratitude (pay it forward? backward?). Just a couple of years ago I was a hack with a new camera I knew nothing about. Some would say that I am still that, but I know a million percent more about birds and photography than I did two years ago and its almost exclusively thanks to people in this group. Helping me identify new birds, hanging out with me while I learn, commenting on photos, assisting me in learning my camera... You didnt ask for some goofy newbie to crash your hike or ask you for the fiftieth time which sparrow or warbler I posted a photo of, but indeed thats what you got. And never have I felt anything but completely welcomed. I have made so many new friends with this new hobby and now these recent comments on my photos really crystallize how cool that is. So - thanks.
