Its a two person system. Two of my children couldnt nurse at all. Two nursed past walking and talking. One preferred cups and food as soon as it was introduced. Ive heard it all - plenty of people bash nursing too. Ive exclusively cloth diapered and exclusively disposable diapered, Ive fed only homemade baby food and Ive fed everything out of a jar. Good luck guessing which ones apply to which kid. Heres the problem: many parenting experts are selling anxiety wrapped up in a shiny gold package stamped if you do it THIS way it will all turn out just right. Let me give you something instead: do it your way, because you know your child best. And trust me, if you exclusively feed your child formula, it wont keep him from getting into the magnet program in 12 years, and if you exclusively breastfeed and wait 6 months to introduce any bottles or food it wont keep your child from developing 7 severe allergies that make you the newest member of the epi-pen club. At least thats been my experience.
