I recently wrote greetings on behalf of the Archdiocese to the Jewish community of the Philadelphia region on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah, which begins today at sundown and Yom Kippur, which begins on Friday, October 3rd. These two solemn observances are a time of prayer, reflection and renewal for the entire Jewish community. As I said in my letter, it is my prayer that these holy days will be for all of our Jewish sisters and brothers a time of spiritual refreshment and renewed hope. May G-d bless them always.
