I remember a riot in the factory where I used to work in Brunei - TopicsExpress

I remember a riot in the factory where I used to work in Brunei and I was in charge....people where coming in every direction destroying everything in my front....throwing chairs and tables and I was the only woman in an office of nine men. One Bangladeshi worker came to me and sobbing...Maam help us solve this problem...I took his hand and without hesitation I hug him with comforting hand....the anger subside....the once furious hand open and cry.....that was the start of the negotiation between our administration and the workers....all they want is to be listened to and explain it in their side. No more violence, no more burst of cry....everyone was happy and everyone was at sigh. I never told this story but this is what I have in heart....the power of an open hand ready to listen to a cry. True experience and true lesson in life.
