I remember as a youngster, growing up across from the first beach in Villa Nova, the 4th of July was incredibly busy on both beaches and all around the lake. I cruised along the lake in the dune buggy with Brandon today and I found it very sad how times have changed. Not a soul on the beach and few people around the lake. These 2 signs on the first beach demonstrate the troubling condition of our once beautiful lake. Sadly it appears doubtful it will ever return to its former glory.
