I remember being a little kid playing basketball at recess or on the playground.. As one kid imagined himself hitting the game winning turnaround jumper, as the shot clock ran down, there was always another one of us narrating the play, dropping the latest Stuart Scott lines as our friends/brothers game winning shot bricked off of the iron. But wait! He was fouled!!, someone would say. And when the free throws were inevitably made (misses were always redeemed by the classic imaginary lane violation), the announcer would usually describe the shooters unwavering resolve as As Cool as the Other Side of the Pillow The man made watching sports so much more fun than it already was for all of us and there is no other person more responsible for the hundreds of hours Ive wasted away, sitting on my butt, watching ESPN lol.
