I remember finding you like that, Curled up on the bathroom - TopicsExpress

I remember finding you like that, Curled up on the bathroom floor, Bruised temple and trembling lips, Bright red eyes and scars on your hips. My little tree frog, All you ever catch are insects. Skin so brightly colored to show youre dangerous, Yeah you put up quite the front, But ignorant hands still like to touch. A tongue made of glue, So the consequences always stick. I wish youd hold your breath. Smart and pretty, A threat to most with underestimated toxicity. I wish you could see that type of beauty in the mirror. But here you are. Long limbs that could carry you in leaps and bounds Leave your problems pains and frowns, Useless and shaking. I guess theres only so far you can be pushed. Sometimes what you see in yourself just isnt enough. Some peoples touch is a little too rough. The water washed the blood away and I was reminded of the frogs I see on my walks. Didnt hop fast enough. Long-legged leaps from the canopy. Ill find you crumpled on the pavement someday. -scatter brained
