Governor Kashim shettima, Borno youth and the concept of inclusiveness My ideas and visions about youth empowerment are always characterized by the need for an inclusive growth- where youth are carried along in other to help them take advantage of and participate in self reliance opportunities presented to them. Having said the fore it is pertinent to mention that since the era of Late Alhaji Ibrahim Imam and Borno youth Forum the Youth of Borno have never had a rather fair ground than in the administration of Governor Kashim Shettima. His Excellencys administration was able to effectively bring down the ideological Berlin Wall that existed between the voices, dreams and aspiration of the youth and Government. Having being very much aware that youth form a greater part of not only the population but of the work/labor force; and also very much in the know that youth throughout the world (Borno inclusive) are trapped in low-productivity activities or are perhaps completely cut off from growth processes which causes alienation and social exclusion, a situation which in fact overtime culminates to create redundancy and idleness, the devils workshop...Governor Kashim Shettima then embarked on a youth INCLUsION program that were visible to all and too numerous to mention. While I and my fellow youth pledge our support and unflinching loyalty to Governor Kashim Shettima, Id like to call on our youth to have a rethink and reposition ourselves into a productive, for self and for community kind of situation. Over time Borno youth have suffered great disconnect, with the insurgency hitting us hard, however though, the time to change that is none other than now. Lets come together and key-in into the youth inclusive program of Governor Kashim Shettima so that we all will be part of history making- the reemergence of sustainable peace, growth and development in Borno state...SAK!
