I remember hearing the very first report that a small plane had hit the WTC. In minutes how the world changed forever. For days we sat in front of the television as rescue crews sifted through the rubble and praying for those who experienced a loss or who were lost. Hearing stories of first responders who ran into both towers without hesitation. We came together to mourn those that died even if we did not know them personally. We lost the sense of safety and security in our own country as we believed things like that could not happen here but it created a strong sense of unity in this country. Today honor those who died that day by offering kindness to others. After all we are one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.
