I remember last summer I was walking through our subdivision - TopicsExpress

I remember last summer I was walking through our subdivision entrance. At the time, I was with my cousin. My english-speaking friend was talking to me through the phone while I was walking. One of the guards rudely stopped me and said San kayo ser? Theyre required to ask everyone where they live. I understand that, but they dont do it consistently. I was busy talking to my friend on the phone and I was still on English mode. Subconsciously, I responded with I live here with a neutral expression. The guard started mocking me. He hollered to his fellow guards Oy, I live here daw. Ah ganun ba? I live here? I live here daw oy pare! Hahaha! I live here pala eh. This went on for a couple of minutes. Their mockery and teasing interrupted my phone call so I hung up the call. I asked the guard what his name was in my deepest and most intimidating voice. (weh) He didnt respond. I took out my phone again, and proceeded to take pictures of the guards. They all suddenly got back to work as if nothing happened. Their facial expressions became blank, trying to avoid my phones camera. I get it. It was summer. Im dark-brown and skinny. But wth, man. Ganoon ba ka-poor ang hitsura ko?
