I remember last year, my Freshman year, when I had joined beginning band. It was my first time to ever be in any form of music class. Roddy was the director, of course, and we all had to try out either saxophone, trombone, or trumpet to learn how to play in the class. The only instrument I could get good sound out with was trumpet, and afterwords, Roddy told me that I was a cool kid now since I would be playing the trumpet. Well about a week after, he was teaching everyone how to properly hold, and to take care of their instruments. When he was showing the trumpets, he put so much emphasis on the position of the right pinkie, I found it slightly amusing. So when he came to me to see if I was holding my trumpet correctly, he let out a huge sigh and exclaimed Kat, youre not a noob, only noobs put their pinkies there! So I never put my pinkie there again cx Its the memories that count. Missing him alot today.
