I remember my Aunt Agnes telling me the story of remodeling her kitchen back in 1934 after she got married..new cabinets new walls new tiled floor....and the appliances....refrigerator and stove....a lot of love went into the meals cooked in her kitchen...when I was old enough I would help her in the kitchen...canning, making jelly, helping her bakes at least two thousand Christmas cookies each holiday....well ..I digress..as I really just wanted you to see the wonderful salt & pepper shaker that came with her NEW stove...they are 81 years old and still pretty nifty..when i think of how many times i refilled these for my Aunt, and how many times these spiced up our dinners...so nice to have them back... the tops are a little dented and could be pushed back into shape, but i think it gives them character ! I have always loved the art-deco style of these. They take me to another time. Friends if you have children or grandchildren...make so very special memories with them, make little things seem big, give them the kind of lives we had. I know they werent perfect, but it seems we lived in a great time in the 60s and 70s. I thank my family from the past every day. You helped make me who I am !!! HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!
