I remember preparing for APFTs in college by eating a FULL plate of Shrimp Alfredo from Olive Garden because I needed to stock up on carbs. So young, So misguided. LOL Never have I not (I know…double negative, get over it) stayed up all night nervous about coming up short despite doing non-stop P/U and S/U < a week prior… Johanna Mosbyol SO, on a whim I signed up to take an APFT. With less than 24 hour ‘prep’ time these are the results: P/U – MAX (with 1 min remaining) S/U – MAX (with 45 sec remaining) RUN – 97/100 (short 21 secs) I increased my S/U event 15% and dropped a full minute off my run time. Next Up: THE EXTENDED SCALE! This journey is making me fit – way beyond the bounds of physicality. Thanks, Faren A.
