I remember several years ago attending a christening at a catholic church for a friend of mine with lots of my other mates there too. At the time I wasnt a Christian, although I thought I was, based on traditional values. I remember when we started singing hymns, all I could do was laugh and got my mates to start laughing too as this was not the cool thing to do, we were used to night clubs. Looking back I see I was embarrassed about Jesus and the church. As a nation we are largely embarrassed about Jesus and knowing Him. We hide behind tradition where we find it acceptable to attend church for weddings, baptisms and funerals. Do you think God will be impressed on the Day of Judgment when we face Him? The bible says in Matt 10:33 But whoever denies and disowns Me before men, I also will deny and disown him before My Father Who is in heaven. There is great danger for living a life and ignoring God, just following the course of the world. Are you going to Heaven or Hell, not a nice thing to think about, but we have to be honest and take it seriously while we are still living. We may think we are safe in this country far away from the wars in the middle east and Ukraine, but how do you know what is around the corner. Make the right choice today, a new start, get right with God, repent and believe in the Gospel. Unless you find out, you will never know. Your friends and traditional values cannot save you, so get rid of negative thoughts and pride, its between you and God, there is only one way to our Father in heaven and that is through Jesus. Jesus is waiting for you to choose Him, that you can be forgiven and washed clean of all your sin and you can be healed of all sickness and disease as He has paid the price for it, you just need to receive it by Faith. Just be honest.
