I remember that I was working for Triangle Tech at the time. We started the day as we usually did in early September, by calling schools to schedule visits. We stopped when we heard about what happened. I also remember, for some reason, that there was a reported fire on the National Mall. Classes at the school stopped, and we all gathered in a classroom to watch the television news. I also remember video of former Pittsburgh reporter Nina Pineda running from area near the World Trade Center. School officials closed the school, and sent us home. The creepy part was that we were in the flight path of Piittsburgh International, and all flights were shut down. As we left the school, a lone plane was flying toward Pittsburgh. I went off to WPSD, picked up Emily and headed home.
