I remember the first time I met a particular business person when I first moved to johannesburg in fact thinking about it makes me laugh. He brush me off so badly the first time I saw that particular individual but that did not demotivate me. Little did I know that Id bump into him a number of times during the year. I was not bitter about but I just took it as a learning in life. He probably thought I was one of those individuals who were just fans but as we kept on meeting at corporate events and 99% of the time I was the only student. Things started to change now he would greet me if I didnt seem him first and our relationship has changed since then. One thing I learnt is that when people start seeing you in their circles and their radar as he calls it their attitude towards you changes. Nothing has been easy but I have learnt a lot and Ill continue to learn. I want to do is acquire knowledge. Ill never ask for something from someone unless thats my last option. Show me the way and Ill do the rest because I believe that is the best way to learn. Do not give the man a fish but teach him how to fish In most cases I want to meet certain individuals because all I want to do is to learn nothing more. I dont take long times to go to events and etc because I am fascinated about wholl be speaking I want to learn and gain knowledge because in most cases the knowledge you will need will come from the people in that room nor necessarily the speaker. I know that I face challenges on a daily basis but that should not stop me from going after my dreams and I am nor afraid of admitting when I do not know something. I will always try to acquire as much knowledge because the truth is no one is every prepared for everything but it makes the weightless heavier when you are acquire a certain amount of knowledge. I even sometimes ask my mentors about marriage not that Im infringing in their private lives but it is to try and understand how one could possibly balance out marriage and their busy work life. I see my journey in life as the very some journey that a baby takes to learn how to walk - A baby sees no obstacle in his/her pursue to learn how to walk and I am that baby. I will be an global entrepreneur and I will be an actuary one day. I do not doubt that for a second in my mind.
