I remember todays date like it was yesterday...I lived in Bergen County and was heading into work. I worked in NYC but as I was entering the city I was told to turn around. I was a little confused at the time. I called work and they told me there was no work today and we may not work for the next few days just call in the morning to find out. I listened to my car radio all the way back home. I was a bit numb to the entire situation, I remember my mom calling me and telling me she tried for an hour to get in touch with me to see if I was okay and the phones kept telling her the call would not go through. Its a day I will remember for the rest of my life...but it was not just 9.11.2011 I will remember the next 3 months were the toughest. my department at my job was moved from NYC to Rockland County NY, anytime I was on a major highway during the day if you could see the city you could see smoke flowing into the sky even from the jersey and at night there was always a lights that shined into the sky which was beautiful but also it meant something a little more to me. I will never forget 9.11.2011 or the months after. I send my love and prayers to all that were lost that day.
