I said Good bye to my father when I went to visit him last - TopicsExpress

I said Good bye to my father when I went to visit him last Saturday. I haven’t spoke to him in weeks; he’s been in a deep sleep most of the time and in bad health. He has been being fed by a feeding tube for the last 9 weeks or more as his health continues to fail. As of Thursday evening, my dad is sitting up in a chair, eating apples and apple sauce (yes he has had a tracheotomy) and he is now eating. He is communicating with my family through gestures of blowing kisses and whispers. He tells my mom he’s ready to drive. He smiles and thumbs up when my brother told him that the Buffalo Bills were having a good season. His nurses tell us that he keeps asking for visitors. I can’t put into words the Amazement that I feel. My mom bravely signed the DNR this past week, she put his life in God’s hands. Family and friends prayed. We prayed that my dad either pass onto heaven or through the miracle of God, he recover. There is no medical reasoning to explain why my father has made such a huge recovery but he has. He is only 73 years old. We want more time with him. I will pray tonight for the continual recovery of my father in hopes that it is meant to be. My only explanation is the Power of Prayer. I know that some of you may think I’m crazy but I’m leaving you with this… Jesus made this promise: If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you (John 15:7). This truly is the only explanation I have. Peace, love, and joy to all. : )
