I sat down today and reflected on a certain situation in my life. - TopicsExpress

I sat down today and reflected on a certain situation in my life. I was troubled with the question of How? How do you love something that is no longer what it was? Do you conform, persevere, show Gods unfailing grace and stay available in their life? After all, that’s what He (Jesus) does for US. Or do you turn the other cheek, move on, and forget about the new person they are? All while continuing to be hurt. Just for that one hope that that person is still somewhere hidden deep down desperately trying to pry itself out. What is right? What is wrong? What is God’s will for my life now? WHICH PATH DO I CHOOSE?!? Oh, the many questions. But, then I came upon this thought as I was reading... Who actually says we have to choose a path? 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s WILL for you in Christ Jesus.” If I want to know God’s WILL for my life… If I want to know which “path” to take I first have to understand its not so much about picking a direction but more about physically walking step-by-step with Jesus. Jesus and I together… We make our own path. We clear the unpaved way with each new triumphant step. Where does this new path lead? Well, to Jesus of course. So, why do we always feel we need to choose a path? Why can’t we just take what is given, no matter if it’s suffering, sorrow, injustice, joy, etc. why can’t we take it and just rejoice in this period of our lives? Because no matter what, it is always good. Can’t we just give thanks? Can’t we just PRAY?!?! THAT is how we know which “path” to take. By walking hand-in-hand with our perfect creator. Walking with Him through every aspect of our daily lives. No longer do all these questions we contemplate have any meaning to us. I can’t think of anything more beautiful.
