I saw American Sniper, last night. Regardless of your views on war - TopicsExpress

I saw American Sniper, last night. Regardless of your views on war (I despise it), our military (I wish we didnt have a need for it) or snipers in the military, seeing what these men and women went through (and are going through), the brutality of what some humans can do to other humans is a shock to your system. I think thats why everyone was so quiet during the film and nothing but silence on the way out of the theater. Not a lot of tears either, which surprised me, since I cry at sappy commercials. Bradley Cooper did an outstanding performance, definitely Oscar worthy. And Im not giving anything away, because this is a film based on a true story, but the fact that the real Chris Kyle went through 4 tours and survived, only to be murdered by a veteran he was trying to help, makes this even more compelling...and sad. Go see it....
