I saw Lucy (the movie) last night. I went in with low expectations (thanks to Rotten Tomatoes giving it a ~58%), but still left with a meh feeling. The premise of unlocking your brains full potential is scientifically terrible, but can make for great stories (I LOVED Limitless). Unfortunately, the movie seemed to quickly lose its direction, despite keeping a heavy momentum. The result was like watching a runaway vehicle charging headlong towards an oncoming cliff. All in all most of the movie in pieces is pretty enjoyable though. The acting is solid, the fights are impressive, and the overall feel is kind of like resident evil 2 meets matrix 2 meets an artsy film festival entry. Take that description however you like. By far the worst part was being forced to watch the trailer for 50 Shades of Grey before the movie began :/
