I saw Spiderman (whatever number or episode it was) and it was ok I guess.Andrew Garfield was solid. He was probably better than Tobey Maguire though I really dont keep score. These movies havent moved me for years, I go because other people want to go. Its so amusing to me how predictable all these super hero-arch villain movies are.In this case, usually the villain begins as a friend of Spiderman, yet somehow the villain feels(wrongly) betrayed and seeks to destroy him. And every time, I mean EVERY TIME theres a villain in any super hero movie, he or she must laugh a sick, demented laugh,as if the criminal behavior is hysterical. They are always transformed into becoming arch villains by some accident or formula and have some device that makes their villainy so super imposing. I think the over the top use of effects always have always had a diminishing return for me. The more effects, the less I seem to be wowed. The carnage and destruction also wear me out, and the cops are almost always ineffective or easily defeated(which I hate).Sooner or later Ill realize that these movies are just not my thing and stop going, but I still hold out for a great story or performance(Heath Ledger?) in this super hero world. Its just a movie of course, but Im still looking for a good film. Ill keep looking.
