Why did Muhammad make up the whole story about Miraj ? Where was he at that night that he had to cover it up? When Muhammad was a nobody ( before marriage to his wealthy wife Khadijah) , he fell in love with his cousin Umm Hani who was a sister of ALI (the fourth khalifah ) and daughter of Abu Talib , Muhammads uncle. But Abu Talib did not want to give his daughter to him . ( I don`t blame him ) Several years after his self claimed prophecy ( about 11-12 years ) , and after his wife Khadijah had died , he spent a night with Umm Hani in her house. She was married and her husband was out of town. Abu Talib , her father , had already died the year before. In the morning when he was leaving her house some people saw him and everything was clear. Muhammad had spent a night with a married woman . He immediately concocted the story of Miraj claiming that during that night he travelled to the seventh sky to have a private meeting with Allah. A few days later , In order to make people believe him , he recited a verse which confirmed this funny journey. Muslims scholars are ashamed of this incident so they have changed the story and tell Muslims a different version : They first made up a lie that Khadijah was alive at time. This made the whole thing worse . Because it meant that Muhammad was married and slept with another married woman. Then they changed the story and claimed that at that night Muhammad was sleeping beside Khadijah . To make the story more exciting they also claimed that Khadijah has said that Muhammad was sleeping beside me the whole night and he never left the house . Was she awake the whole night and checking on Muhammad? By lying about some historical facts , these deceitful scholars could also repair that funny story of Muhammads journey by claiming that it was only Muhammads soul that went up and had a meeting with allah . They base their claims on the first lie that they had already made which said : Khadijah has confirmed that Muhammad was sleeping beside Khadijah at that night and she testifies that Muhammad never moved out of the bed at that night. In the article the author has also talked about several other mistakes that Muhammad did when concocting that verse . Because of a very serious mistake in that verse saying that Muhammad traveled to the seventh sky through a mosque in Jerusalem, many historians have deduced that this verse was put in the quran at least 50-100 years after Muhammads death. Why the Quran says that there existed a mosque in Jerusalem in 620 A.D., when there was no possibility for one to be built, and maintained, by the Muslims on the soil of a Jew-dominated land?
