I see posts every day about parents who ask help with ADD and ODD etc. I just want to give my opion without an argument. I have 30 years experience and 2 of my own children who are different (never had them diagnosed and today they are at Varsity) and a honours degree in children with learning difficulties. Stop labeling your child with a disease. All children are different and must be treated according to their symptoms. If you tell your child that he has ADD or what ever you are in fact telling him that there is something wrong with him. There is nothing wrong with your child, he is perfect the way God made him. I run a school with lots of perfect children and lots of children who come to me broken by people who try and fit them in a box. We treat each and every child differently and accept them and give them unconditioned love. They adjust quickly and are happy normal kids. We also use archery to teach them concentration, focus, dissipline and to compete against themselves. We are affiliated with NASP. Dont label your child and dont medicate your child. Love your child the way God made him.
