I see technology as the Achilles heel of the ruling classes. When those who make the wars become the first casualties of their warfare there will be no more wars. I do hope that in the future will rise a nation so technologically advanced that any threats against its sovereignty can be sniped out in the very halls of political power. I wouldnt be surprised if that nation is Russia, or a block of nations such as the BRICS, who can and should defend themselves. For before the ink is dry on any legislation to declare war against, all the politicians involved in declaring such an act are laying breathless on the ground, the day that happens is the day war is over. It can happen, hacking the defense systems of a city, and a stealth precision guided and complete destruction of a House of Lords or Congress, would signal the first righteous war, democracy will be realized that day, and politicians will not ever declare war when potentially they are the first casualties of it. Technology brings that dream closer to reality, for the sake of ending all wars may it be.
