I see what they are trying to do here but I dont fully agree with this article as it could possibly encourage the wrong idea. I have been living in Afghanistan for almost two years and I see no force here with hijab. I think this is a somewhat cultural thing for them and they are trying to modernize but getting rid of the hijab is not sending the right message. The hijab is not a symbol of oppression in spite of what the media may have you think. Women here are proud to wear hijab!
