I seed my self and exceed my self at the most liminal seams of my assemblage. As this liminality of seams is necessarily contingent upon the reference and deferral inherent to generative production, reference and deferral to another dicernible subject distinct from that which I call my present individual self (those assembled liminal seams which allow for the phenomenological experience of individuality), one can say the very sense of being a self, my self, is necessarily contingent upon the conditions of appreciating that very discernibility of the other. In other words, I am the culminated instantiation of a dynamic ecology in a discernibly dynamic site of materiality. Thus, I return to the subject of ethicality, of the production of ethics through the exercise of negotiated agency, through the very comprehensibility of the individual self in question. Perhaps, then, it is reasonable to conceptualize that the subject we call the self (the anthropocentric discursive product) is always-already rooted in the quest(ion) for the ethical life.
