I seem to be pretty deep in the Breakthrough that Wont Go Away on Walk Against Time. Not only is the new prologue holding up, but Ive been swept up into telling the story with Donnas voice. I opened up a new folder called 4th Draft, copied the entire 3rd Draft manuscript over, and Ive been working day and night taking out the old 3rd Person Past and replacing it with 1st Person Past and Present. The book is now taking the form of a manuscript that Donna is writing for Ross. The Present is between Sunday, January 2, 2011 and Monday, February 14, 2011 beginning with a brief letter to Ross and then followed by the entire story that occurs between January 2, 2001 and the end of the 3-Day Walk. At the very end, there will still be the Afterward, but it will again be in her own voice as she wraps things up with her visit to the cemetery. It would be fair to say that Im very excited about this new telling. Ive been looking for a way to tell this compelling story and Im so glad Ive found the voice for the book. It just keeps getting better and better. One day, it will be good enough! :)
