I shared someones musical post last night and it got me thinking about my experiences with a choir called Walt Whitman and the Soul Children of Chicago when I went to college at Wheaton in Chicago. I was in a gospel choir there, and we sang at a concert one night, and in all humility (haha), we were awesome! I remember sitting down feeling like we just rocked the place, and then our guests got up to sing (the above-mentioned choir). I was stunned and couldnt move from the edge of my seat - they ABSOLUTELY BLEW US OUT OF THE WATER. :) I later got the opportunity to sing with them under the direction of Walt Whitman, and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Now, it couldnt possibly compare to seeing them live where their amazing skill and sheer volume fills every available space, but I have posted two of my favorites songs of theirs.
