I shared this story because I believe the message was really important. Although Elam is wealthy enough to eventually start his own business, the fact that he used the job as a learning opportunity is what is inspiring. We can look at jobs that may be considered menial, and take the experience to see how we can become an entrepreneurs or upper managers. For instance, The Waffle House uses the home grown management philosophy; all of their upper management started ground floor(I know there are arent any Waffle Houses locally, just an example). So whether you are new to the workforce or are in need of a job, keep in mind, opportunities are all around us, we just have to have an open mind to see them.
