I shocked Zach today when I lost it at the dept store. I was in line to pay for my stuff when EJ darted out of the line to the aisles so quickly I couldnt see him (all 36 inches of him) beyond my line of sight. I started to call out his name. It may only have been a minute or two but it felt forever. It was a big store. Finally, a lady on the other aisle said in an irritated voice, Hes here, $eez! I snapped. I dont think Ive ever responded to a rude person before but I did this time. What?! I cant look for my kid? Zach was surprised I answered the way I did. He heard me from the next aisle where he was looking for EJ too. Of course we had to debrief about the incident afterwards. Lessons abound...
