I snapped these photos about an hour ago. Look at these poor dogs (a German Shepherd, and a white Shih Tzu) locked in a car on a hot day while their asshole owner shops in an air conditioned Walmart. If youre the owner of these dogs (who were in high distress and barking up a storm when we drove up) WE HAVE CALLED THE POLICE ON YOU. I dont know how long those dogs were in that hot car, but a number of concerned individuals and I immediately sprang into action. I must say, Im very disappointed at the poor assistance from the managers at Walmart, but a number of us were not about to leave these dogs in danger. To the owner: You may have run to your car and zipped out of there when you noticed the commotion was about you (before the police arrived), but I personally spoke to the first officer on the scene. (As did the three wonderful women who also rallied around these poor helpless pups.) Expect a visit from the police shortly. They have your license plate and they will be tracking you down. How many more times does this kind of thing have to happen before we stop leaving children and dogs in hot vehicles?? Where is your common sense?
