I snatched a dish of kibbles went out to look. The kitty was hiding, but hunger was bigger. First I put the dish closer to the opening in the fencing. It was heartbreaking. he came out very skittish and almost shaking. He grabbed the full mouth of kibbles and run back under porch, loosing half on his way. He repeated it may times until he decided that he will just sit and eat. Meanwhile I got the red dish of great Weruva fish flavor food and placed it further so I can assess him when he comes out. His face told me - not neutered male - these cheeks I can spot from a mile now. His body was so skinny - i can see the hips and back bones sticking out. These pictures here are after about 40 minutes of him eating on and off and he slowed down and his belly filled up a bit. I also placed a paper box with a cut out door and blanket inside behind the bushes so he can have some warmer shelter, though he seems to be feeling safe under the porch fencing. I will bring a trap from home tomorrow and hope he will be enough hungry to get into it. Then we go strainght to local vet and to my home isolation place in garage wood shop. was all set up for month now for Schmoozer... who is not leetting self to be trapped... for now...
