I sometimes ponder on why we are encouraged to pray for financial increase, abundant blessings etc... He said in His word that I have plans of good for you. I dont believe God fashioned a life for us to struggle. Indeed we do endure trying times, however it is in these times that the simple request of Him is challenged- faith. Trust in the Lord with all you heart, and lean not to your own understanding. Financial increase may provide you temporary debt relief or an abundance of material possessions, but abundant faith will yield you serenity ten times over; knowing that He will do what He said he will for you. That all your troubles will be comforted and the desires of your heart be fulfilled. Its just like giving a man a fish you feed him today, teach him to fish and you feed him a lifetime. I said all that to say, dont allow material things to serve as a measuring stick for what God has and will do for you. Just believe and have unyielding faith and everything will always be alright.
