I speak now on behalf of all the artists that put in countless hours working on this mural. Thank you to Everyone who has supported us as this creation came together and put their trust in us to bring history to life and make history all at the same time by using our artistic abilities. We first brought to you the trolley, showing our community what once was here. A Huge piece of Merrills history and progress. We then brought to you an icon that Merrill residents past and present fell in love with. And we are most certain that will hold true for future residents as well...Jack the Trolley Dog...Smokie Bergh. His story is one of love as he journeys on the trolley and everyone who sees this mural can now identify what we have come to know as Jacks features brought to life from Smokie. And finally, we have made history here in Merrill, our community we love, by being the first students to create a mural on the exterior of a business. All of us want our community of Merrill and whomever visits here to stop, reflect, and learn a piece of what has made this city beautiful. We hope we have begun the processes to which Merrill will be a true destination for families and friends to come together for years to come. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!!!! All For The Love of Merrill. I can say these things on the students behalf because through this process the students became apart of Blooming Wishes. We felt their pride as people would stop to congratulate them on the fabulous job they were doing on this project, yet the anxiousness to concentrate on the details but finish in a timely manner. Their enthusiasm to depict the picture perfectly. Their wanting to meet their communities approval because they understood how much this means to their community. Firsts are never easy. This was a huge learning experience for everyone involved...not just the students.
